Peanut,

We are still trudging along (ie. regressing a bit) with potty training. No real advancement, and there are several days where you will have nothing to do with it. I guess that is the way it goes.

I have been volunteering in your classroom once a week or so this month and it is interesting to see your preschool experience. Talk about chaotic! Considering how loud and crazy it gets you are handling it all very well. My hope for you is that you learn to stand up to the other kids when they push you out of the way or take something you are playing with. Ms. Sandy B. says you are such a sweet boy and so sensitive. I counter with, “Yes, but I am scared that he is too sensitive and will be mowed over”. She tells me you are a boy that will be a good husband and father. I agree with that! I am trying to teach you that it is okay tho to stand up for yourself. There are some rough kids in your class and I know there will be more as you go through school. Ugghh…it is hard not to worry.

We are taking walks in the evening and it is so much fun to see you pedal your heart out on your bike. You are outgrowing it and soon will be on two wheels I am sure. You are still wearing your firefighter costume EVERYWHERE. :) You are going through this fantastic stage of insisting you can do EVERYTHING by yourself and that you know EVERYTHING. I thought this happened much later, not at three years old!

You are obsessed with the Weather Channel. What family sits down EVERY NIGHT before bed and watches the Weather Channel? Well, we do. Apparently your version of a bedtime story is Local on the 8’s.

Your imagination impresses me and encourages me to buy toys that are not branded. You have taken your stethoscope out of your doctor’s kit and have disassembled it. You use it as your “oxygen” for breathing when fighting numerous fires around the house.  YOU ROCK!
