Everything is a Gun
Should I be worried? Because everything to Peanut right now is a gun. And it is not ebbing People, it is just flowing! Rulers, hands, pieces of other bigger toys are magically (I say that very sarcastically) transformed into guns. And they all have names like, “And this one here is a shishunufel”. OK….
Seriously, should I be worried that I am raising a psycho? Gun fanatic? Psycho gun fanatic? Or a typical almost 5-year-old boy? I vote for the last one but is that cuz I am in denial?
I think he’s a typical 5 year old boy. They all just happen to be psycho, gun fanatics… 
I think as long as we both temper some of this fascination and indulge some of it he will turn out fine.
I agree with your husband. I think it’s pretty typical for little boys to want to make everything into a weapon…guns, swords, death lasers, etc. I think you’re safe! In fact, it doesn’t stop when they grow up, they just express it differently. Like video games, the military channel and real guns. We are lucky lucky girls!

He’s a boy! Of course he has the “gun” thing, he’ll grow out of it but for now, he’s just a typical little boy….thank God!
(Just to ease your mind, I was gun crazy at the same age, only then it was cowboys and Indians LOL)My brother was usually the cowboy (older) but THIS Indian had guns too LOL
